It's a week of celebration! Our 5th graders competed in the annual kickball tournament, a culmination of sportsmanship work with Mr. Frederes. Students learn cooperation, communication, trust in their team, and more. Mr. Neal's class won, but it was a nail biter for a bit!

Our 1st graders had a GREAT time at the Metro Richmond Zoo yesterday as their learning about habitats and living creatures came to life! Check out those faces as they fed giraffes, learned about bats, watched orangutans, and more. We are so proud of their curiosity & engagement!

Second graders are continuing to build that financial literacy as they practice counting coins -- which also means many opportunities to practice skip counting by 5s and 10s. Students were so determined to master their money that they chose to kept working during a brain break!

Kindergarten students went on their first field trip of the year this week! They visited the VA Museum of History & Culture to learn about maps and community. Their favorite part definitely was exploring and getting their hands on lots of different props!

2nd graders enjoyed their field trip to Lewis Ginter, where they explored different living creatures -- from snails to turtles to caterpillars -- around the beautiful gardens. Students learned more about our very own ecosystems. They were so excitied to share when they came back!

Things were heating up during March's high stakes Fun Friday! Students worked in teams to finish a 100 piece puzzle and Takis before time ran out. The first place team in each grade level won pizza in the library this month. We are so proud of the teamwork we saw!
