Our first graders learned how to"attractive" science can be when they explored magnetism recently. Magnets are great for seeing motion in action, since they can PULL together or PUSH apart. They also practice asking questions, making predictions, and drawing conclusions.

2nd graders in Mrs. Harlow's class continue their year as scientific investigators by observing candy hearts and how they dissolve in different substances. Students are learning to make hypotheses, take observations, and determine the results. We love seeing hands-on learning!

Wow! What a fun time we had today with Lincoln Center jazz band, here at Glen Lea. We learned that jazz originated in New Orleans, named different instruments, and even helped create a new song with different emotions. Thank you for letting us dance the morning away with you all!

Glen Lea's 2nd grade students recently finished their swimming lessons, after spending six weeks learning to be both brave and safe in the water as they practice putting their heads under water, floating, and swimming. Thank you to HCPS for creating this opportunity!
